Gayton Class 2, Mrs Boulton & Mrs Cuthbert
We are now in our final term before the Summer holidays and we have lots to learn about together, in Class 2!
In History we are continuing to explore local historical figures with a focus on Elizabeth Woodville and making comparisons between her and our current Queen. What can we notice between the two time periods?
In English we will be learning about diary recounts and can’t wait to share ideas from The Spiderwick Chronicles - there will be lots of opportunities to describe some creatures and places inspired by this tale!
In Maths this term, Year 3 will continue to build their confidence in fractions before progressing onto geometry to include angles, lines, shapes and perimeter. Year 4 will finish work on money before progressing onto geometry, position and movement. Also this term, our year 4s will complete their times table check.
Our topic in Science is Habitat Helpers, extending our understanding of habitats from key stage one and expanding now into ecosystems and the impact humans have on the world around us.
In RE children are learning about Judaism. We will build on our existing knowledge of the foundations of this faith and make links between Judaism and Christianity.
We are developing our outside area to give the children more opportunities to work and learn outside, and they are thriving in the activities they have tried so far!
We also have Sports Day and our trip to Warwick Castle to look forward to this term. We can’t wait!
Please do not hesitate to pop in to see us if you have any questions or queries.
