Forest CE

History of the Federation

Our three schools started their journey together in January 2011. The schools joined as a federation in September 2012. This began with our Headteacher Mrs Hollis taking over headship of three schools. Things have gone from strength to strength in our forward thinking federation of schools. The Federation secured the schools future making our schools more sustainable and stronger together. In 2015 Gayton Primary joined the federation and in September 2016 became formally federated with The Forest CE Federation.

We have enjoyed many joint events including school trips to Paris, Isle of Wight, London and Harry Potter Studios, joint workshops and various sporting events and celebration parties. The Federation also come together at special events in the Christian calendar including Christmas, Easter and Harvest. We also enjoy joint PE sessions and sports Day, which give the children the opportunity to come together and compete with larger schools in the County with huge success winning many sporting events.

Not only do our children benefit from our federation, staff are able to plan and train together, giving the schools a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
