Each week, we would like you to read with your children and this can be recorded in their Reading Diaries. Sharing a story or text with your child and discussing what they have read is essential for developing their reading skills and fostering a love of reading. For children in Key Stage 2, reading aloud can help them to understand how punctuation is used, especially in more complex texts.
Practising x tables and number facts regularly helps children to recall them quickly and make links between related number facts.
Other homeworks may be set by the class teacher if they feel that it will be of benefit to your child's learning or if they enhance the learning taking place in the classroom.
